A thunderstorm has rain, lightning, and thunder.  A thunderstorm is a kind of weather.

Lightning can make a noise.  The noise is made when very hot and very cold air meet very quickly.  This makes a loud sound.  It is called thunder.  Sound moves slower than light.  So we see lightning, and we hear the thunder a few seconds later!

Lightning is electricity in the. sky. Sometimes very cold air and very hot air meet very fast.  This can cause lightning!  Lightning is very bright.

Electricity is a kind of energy.  We see electricity in our homes, in televisions, computers, and lights.  But electricity can also be in nature.  Lightning has electricity!

Static electricity is found in nature.  It can happen when two things rub against each other Lightning has static electricity!

Rain is water droplets that fall from clouds.

Air can move.  Air can move quickly or slowly.  Air can move lightly or strongly.  Moving air is called wind.
