Plants with Flowers

Some plants have flowers.

Flowers can be very colorful!

Insects use flowers to help plants.

Bees like the colorful flowers.

Insects like the smell of flowers.

Flowers have nectar.

Nectar is sweet food.

Flowers have a part called the stamen. 

The stamen has pollen on it.

Pollen is like colorful dust.

Pollen helps plants make new plants.

Insects eat the nectar from the flower.

Inside the flower is pollen.

The insect touches the pollen.

The insect goes to another flower.

The pollen falls off the insect into the new flower.

The pollen goes inside the flower.

The pollen makes a seed in the new flower.

The seed grows fruit around it.

An animal eats the fruit.

The animal drops the fruit to the ground.

The seeds in the fruit go into the ground.

The seeds can grow a new plant!
