Habitat- Forests

Forests have a lot of trees.

Some trees are in places with seasons.

The trees grow leaves in the spring.

There are a lot of leaves in the summer.

The leaves turn colors in the autumn, and fall from the trees.

In winter the trees do not have leaves.

In some places forests are high in the mountains.

Pine can trees live high in the mountains.

Pine trees have pine cones.

Pine cones are like seeds.

Pine cones make new trees!

Some forests have a lot of rain.

These are called rainforests.

Rainforests have a lot of different plants and animals.

Some rainforests have very tall trees that cover the forest.

This is called a canopy.

A canopy is like a roof of trees over the ground.
