Properties of Matter

Matter can have different colors.

Things can be red, blue, green, orange and other colors!

Some matter can have different shapes.

Some matter can be hard or soft.

Some matter can stretch, or break.

Some matter can float or sink.

Some matter can be magnetic. 

These are called characteristics.  

Characteristics are qualities of things!

We can also call them properties.
