We can use our eyes to understand what things look like.  This is called to see.  We can see colors, shapes, and sizes!

The Sun gives off light.   Light gives heat and makes it so we can see things.

The brain is inside of our body.  The brain is located inside of our head.   Nerves go to the brain.  Nerves bring information to the brain.  The brain helps us to understand the information from the nerves.

Things can have color.  Red, blue, green, and yellow are colors.  Color makes things look different.

Our eyes have a part inside them called cones.  The cones tkae in information about light and color.  The information goes to the brain.  The brain can help understand the information.  In this way we can see.

Nerves are inside of the body.  Nerves are very long, like wires going from the ends of the body to the brain.  Nerves are sensitive.  Nerves bring information to the brain.
