Migration

Some animals move from one place to another to live.

Many birds move to a different place for the winter.

They move to a warmer place.

The birds move in large groups.

It can take months to move to their new winter home.

This is called migration.

Whales migrate.

Whales move thousands of miles in the water to a place that is colder.

Butterflies also migrate to warmer places.

Salmon are a kind of fish.

Salmon migrate by swimming up a river!
