The sound waves go to our ear.

Inside the ear is a part called the eardrum.

The sound waves push on the eardrum.

The sound waves make the ear drum vibrate.

The nerves feel the vibration.

The nerves take the information to our brain.

Our brain understands what the sounds mean.

In this way we can hear.
