A living thing that eats, breathes and moves around.  Lions, butterflies, fish, birds, and dolphins are all animals!

Plants, animals and people are living.  Living things grow. 

Animals eat.  Animals find food.  An animal brings food into its body through its mouth.  The food gives the animal energy!

Many animals can see through eyes!  Fish, cows, and spiders have eyes!  To see means to use one’s eyes to understand the world around them.

Some animals have ears.  Ears help an animal to understand the world around them.  Animal’s use ears to hear and understand the sounds around them!
