What Animals Eat

Animals eat!  

Some animals eat plants.

Cows, kangaroos and rabbits eat plants!

These are called herbivores.

The word herb means plants.  

Herbivores eat only plants.

Some animals eat other animals. 

Lions, cheetahs and sharks eat other animals.

These are called carnivores.

The word carne means meat.  

Carnivores eat only meat.

Some animals eat plants and animals.  

Bears, raccoons and dogs eat plants and animals.

These are called omnivores.

The word omni means many.  

Omnivores eat plants and animals!
