Outer Space

Space is outside the Earth.

Our sun, planets, the stars, and moons are all in space.

Space is very, very big.

You cannot breath in space.  There is no air.

Earth has air around it called the atmosphere.

The atmosphere is all around Earth.

We can breathe because of the atmosphere.

Space is very big.

It has planets, our Sun, stars and moons.

There are other things in space too.

Meteoroids are large rocks.

Asteroids are rocks in space.

Asteroids are bigger than meteoroids.

We can send rockets into space to visit the moon and other planets.

Astronauts are people whose job it is to go into space.

Astronauts have gone to the moon.
