There is water in leaves.

The sunlight warms the leaves and turns the water into a gas.

The gas goes out of the leaves.

This is called transpiration.

 

Roots take in water.

Water goes up the stem.

Water goes into the leaves.

 

The Sun shines on the leaves.

The water turns the water in the leaves into a gas.

The gas is called water vapor.

 

The water vapor goes out of tiny holes in the leaves.

The holes in the leaves are called stomata.

 

This is called transpiration.

Transpiration is sunlight turning water in leaves into a gas.
