A leaf is a flat part of a plant.  Plants can have many leaves.  The leaves help the plant to make food for itself.

The Sun has energy.  The Sun’s rays shine onto Earth.  This is called sunlight.  Sunlight gives us light to see.  Sunlight helps give energy to plants, animals and people!
